Okay, I can take the fact that Awake has been cancelled, considering their low ratings. Doesn't mean I'm happy about it, because seriously, the last few episodes have been epic awesome.

But when the husband told me that Breakout Kings has been cancelled? WTF??? Nooooo!!!!

*sadface times a billionty*

In other news, I've still not watched Supernatural and Nikita's season finale. I've had to stay away from the flist and even have to kinda squint at my Twitter timeline to avoid being spoiled.

In other, non-TV news, Ramadhan is coming up! I've not replaced my missed fasting days from last year (eeks!) and I'm not entirely sure if I can. I have a monster appetite now! I'll have eaten a relatively heavy breakfast at 9 am, and by 12.30 I'll be starving again. I'm not sure if I'll even be able to fast at all for this year's Ramadhan since by that time I'll be about 7-8 months along. We'll see, though.

So yeah, what are you guys up to?

So, as I mentioned in my last post, my little girl turned 3 a couple of weeks ago. We threw a Tangled themed party for her.

Bajillions of pics under the cut! )

Happy birthday, princess! Mama and Abah love you sooooo much!

Hello, all!

Just a quickie post about what's been going on recently.

Have you guys watched Avengers yet? No? LOSER! Go and watch it now! Even if you've not watched any of the prior Marvel movies, it is still quite possibly THE BEST superhero ensemble movie EVAR. I watched it on IMAX 3D and it was teh awesome! My husband watched it twice. The first time he watched it with his fellow geek friends, so you can bet they were literally squeeing throughout the whole thing! And apparently, they were the only ones who freaked out at the after credits scene. Heh.

Speaking of my geeky husband, remember how he has a comic book out? Well, he will be going to FREAKING COMIC CON this year! Basically he'll have a booth there with some other comic peeps from here, to shop around for international publishers. It's so hard to believe! I mean, Comic Con is one of those things that we read about other people going to, with no aspirations of going there ourselves, since it's well, in San Diego and all. But holy crap, when we found out that hubby had been selected as one of the few to go and promote their work there, it's like.. whoaaaa! So if you're going this year, keep a look out for him! I told him to grab Jensen and/or Jared if they happen to be wandering around.

Last weekend, my little girl turned 3! We threw a Rapunzel themed birthday party for her, since she's always loved the movie. Since Tangled party stuff are few and far between here, we decided to just roll up our sleeves and DIY whatever we could! I'm still waiting for the husband to finish editing the pics so I can upload them.

When the pics are ready, I'll put up a separate post about the party. :)

By the way, have you guys been keeping up with TV renewals and such? I'm happy that Supernatural got another season, because for it to end like this? Ugh. Also, I'm VERY happy about renewals for Nikita, Once Upon A Time, Community and New Girl. Not too happy about the news that Awake is cancelled. *sadface*

Okay, that is all.

*hugs all around*

My daughter has this thing, where if she gets into a show or movie, she will want to watch it ALL THE DAMN TIME.

Like, one of her first obsessions was the (quite awesome) stop motion kids show Timmy Time. If you've ever watched Shaun the Sheep, Timmy is the baby lamb in that show. Timmy Time is the spin off, where he goes to school. My husband and I actually really like the show too, and we usually enjoy watching it with Fiya.

Then after that, she decided to 'grow up' and became OBSESSED with The Little Mermaid. She adored Ariel, and she could sing (albeit in gibberish) most of the songs. Her favourite song was Part of Your World, and she'd sing it, complete with hand gestures and rolling around on the floor.

The Little Mermaid is actually one of my all time favourite Disney movies (tied with Aladdin). But watching it every day, sometimes 3-4 times straight, it made me think a little too much about it. Like, how exactly do mermaids breathe? What exactly are their respiratory systems like? Do they use lungs? Gills? And how is it possible for them to talk and sing (and play instruments!!) underwater? Shouldn't everything sound like muffled goop? This is only the tip of the iceberg of stupid questions I have asked my husband during the course of my daughter's obsession.

Then, we introduced her to Rapunzel, and THAT consumed her life for quite a bit. The husband made a mistake of downloading the soundtrack and playing it in the car. So now everytime we're in his car, she would be demanding to listen to Rapunzel. And she'd be singing along to every song (again, in gibberish). But when she sang along to I See The Light, she'd insist I sing along with her, and hold her hands and brush her hair, just the way Flynn Rider did to Rapunzel in the movie. And I KNOW that years from now, when Fiya is all grown up and not want to hang out with her mom all the time, I'll listen to that song and weep.

Anyways, after her Rapunzel phase, she caught the Rio bug. She learned how to samba from that movie, LOL.

After Rio, it was Lion King. This led her to roar at everyone and everything.

And now, her most recent obsession, is Happy Feet 2. I'll be honest, I don't even really like this movie. But one night, I was so tired, that I zonked out on the living room couch. My husband decided to play that movie for Fiya, and the few times that I woke up, I'd see her dancing along to the penguins. And now she demands to watch penguins every night. By the time the movie is over, it'll be at least 12.30 am. And I'll be too sleepy for anything else.

Basically all I'm saying is, I have a huge backlog of TV shows to catch up on! *sobs*

That is all.

Hey, everyone!

Guess who is the newest fan of BBC's 'Sherlock'?

*points to self* THIS GAL!

Yep, I finally watched the show. The husband downloaded the pilot, watched it without my knowing, then totally GUSHED about it. He immediately downloaded the rest of the series.

I made him watch the pilot again with me, and immediately decided to watch the rest of the episodes whenever our daughter wasn't hogging the TV.

Oh gosh, you guys! This SHOW! I wanna smish it forever and ever!!!

I had a little trouble getting into Cumberbatch as Sherlock at first, because I weirdly found that his face (which to me looked EXTREMELY young) did not go with his voice (super deep and MANLY oh my!). But yeah, I got over that. :D

And John is such an adorable little sidekick I wanna pinch his cheeks all the time!

So, anyway, we finally watched Season 2's finale last night. I will now go through my flist for any Sherlock fans, and please don't be surprised if there's a comment from me on your entry from ages ago, yeah?

Sadly, now I have to join all of you in the wait for the new season. *pouts*

What happens when you're a Supernatural fan, and you're expecting a baby boy?

Why, you name him after your favourite character, of course!

Guys, meet little Baby Dean, my nephew. :)

When my sister in law was pregnant, and my younger brother told us that he WILL name his baby Dean, we didn't think he was serious. 'Dean' is not a typical Malay name, and although in Arabic it means 'religion', it is usually spelled 'deen'. But we thought it's pretty cool though!

Let's just hope he won't have Daddy Issues.

Have you guys ever watched the show Fast and Loose? The hubby sent me a youtube link the other day, saying it was kinda sorta like Whose Line Is It Anyway.

This was the video he sent me:

This intrigued us so much that hubby downloaded the first 2 episodes, which we watched last night.

This show is EPIC. I swear, Brits have the weirdest sense of humour EVER.

Check this out (with bonus Wayne Brady!)

I laughed at that one till I cried.

Another segment that I love is the Sideways Scene.

WHERE DO THEY COME UP WITH THIS STUFF???

That is all. :D
