1. SHOW WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Easily my favourite episode of the season so far! Quite possibly my absolute favourite comedic episode EVER.

2. Also, thanks to those who posted those pics of Jensen and Danneel! I love how gorgeous both of them are together! And that short interview they gave was so adorable, I may have just died of the cute!

3. RL stuff. Little chubby has started eating solids. I gave her her first taste over the weekend. She's still trying to get the hang of eating with a spoon, but she seems to be doing okay with the food itself. She seems to prefer if hubby fed her though. When I tried to feed her, she'd keep glancing over at hubby, until he took over. Such a daddy's girl. :)

I can't believe she's half a year old already.. Where did the time go?? It feels like only yesterday when she was just this tiny little bundle, and now she's a big girl already. *wibble*

Short update because I'm super duper busy!

First off, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY to the lovely frickangel ! So sorry I'm late sweetie, but I did think of you on your birthday! I just missed wishing you! (excuses excuses)

Also, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY to the wonderful buffyaddict13 ! I hope your day was full of rainbows and sparkly zombies! (I'm actually hoping I still get this in time!)

In other news, my little chubby will be 6 months old on Friday! Which means that (a) I managed to exclusively breastfeed her for the first 6 months! and (b) she'll be starting on solid foods soon! I'm super excited!

Apparently my periods were kidnapped by exclamation marks! That's okay!

I changed my layout.

And since I'm super lazy (and somewhat layout-changing illiterate), I just grabbed one from the LJ themes. This looks pretty and different from my previous layout.

Haha I just realized that I've just changed from a black background theme to one that's all sweet and happy, and shouldn't I have done it the other way around instead, seeing as it's almost Halloween? :D

I think I wanna change my mood theme too. Anyone know where I can find some? I like em animated.

First of all, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs was AWESOME!!!! If you get a chance to watch it in 3D, please do! You won't regret it! The character Flint is such an adorable nerd. I kinda want to incorporate his 'make your own sound effects and narrate everything you do' in my daily life. LOL it would certainly add a bit of excitement to an otherwise mundane task. ("Typing! dundundundundun Fixing! dundundundundun Uploading cool voice! Engage coffee break!" HAHAHA) It was such a fun movie, and I love all the characters. Plus, watching food fall from the sky is always entertaining. :D

Also, MR. T!!! One of the most amusing characters ever! :D :D :D

In other news, hi there weekend! When did you get here? To me, Fridays mean (a) download Supernatural in the morning, and (b) get all my work done so I can go home early and catch up on my TV shows (besides Supernatural, I have yet to watch the new ep of House, and FlashForward).

So, yep. I'm gonna clear out those pesky deadlines, so that I'll be able to have a guilt-free weekend.

Can you tell I kinda missed those Monster of the Week eps? *g*

It's quite possibly the first episode of the season that made me squee and flail and squee and flail from start to finish! Oh, lemme just point out that hubby totally squeed (very manfully, of course lol) when he saw the car in the teaser. He was all, THAT'S JAMES DEAN'S CAR!!!! :D

Oh, and the "SOON" montage? KILLED ME DED! Especially THAT scene! You guys know exactly which scene I'm talking about! I'm totally gonna make my brother (who's a HUGE Horatio Caine fan) watch that ep! Heeeeeee!!!

Speaking of, will there be a hiatus coming up? Or is the "SOON" promo just there to hype up the show's somewhat dwindling fanbase?

On another note, I stumbled upon this interview of ADORABLE from book_choco_loco . AIEEEEEAIAIAEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! *flaily hands* BOOOYYYYSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reading this made me go, Misha who? LOL

Don't get me wrong, I adore Misha, but sometimes his craziness eclipses the awesomeness that is J2's bromance AND I MISSED MY BOYS DAMMIT! I loved that they're both talking about each other (instead of just themselves) and being all teasing and adorable and AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!! ♥ ♥ ♥

You know how sometimes, you hear a song on the radio, and you sing along, but you don't really know the words, so you just make them up? My family tends to do that quite a bit.

When I was a tiny tot, I would sing along to Boy George's 'Karma Chameleon', but the part where he sings "You come and go", I sang it as "You kambing goat", which is actually redundant, since "kambing" is the Malay word for goat. :D  I was probably about 4 or 5 back then, so I get a free pass. LOL

Here are a few other gems that I can think of off the top of my head:

Our version varies from "my tears won't go any further" to "my tears will cause an infertile" (WTF?? Hahaha)

Scorpion's "Wind of Change"

I'm inclined to believe that my younger brother cooked this up when he was a kid, but I can't be sure. The funny thing is, they insist on singing it with those words all the time!

Hey, I was a wee kid when I sang that! That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. :D

Hubby's version: "The tide is high and I don't know why"

At least hubby's version makes some sort of sense. I think. :D

Okay, I admit it. I'm probably one of the very very VERY few people who did not LOVE 5.04. *ducks* I'm not entirely sure why. In fact, I keep feeling like something is 'off' this season. I do have massive amounts of love for Show, and I know that Kripke and co will blow my mind in eps to come.

Back to 5.04, like I said, I'm somewhat "meh" after watching it. BUT! siscokid98 recced these fics, and not only have both fics killed me ded, I now have a burning urge to rewatch 5.04. And also, these are now my personal canon, thankyouverymuch.

So, remember how I said that my family is full of famewhores? Well, looks like my point is proven yet again. This time, my younger brother wants in on it too.

He was interviewed by a local teen magazine. What is it with members of my family who are way out of their teens but keep being interviewed by the teen media?? LOL Anyway, this article was emailed to me by his girlfriend, so I'm not sure about copyright issues and if I'm allowed to post this, but I'll take it down if I have to, no problem.

So, am I the only one who is not somewhat famous yet? Even my dad had appeared in the newspaper once for being part of the Malaysia Airlines crew that had to work during the Eid holidays (this was yonks ago, 1997. I remember the year because hubby kept bringing it up back then heh). And that's not to mention my aunts and uncles who had appeared on TV for various programmes and interviewed in magazines and such.

Bullet points! Because I have a lot to say, but not a lot of time to say them! (Hm, that seems to be the story of my life.. lol)

-Happy Eid to everyone who celebrates it! Yeah yeah, I know it's been over a week already, but hey, we celebrate it for a whole month over here, so technically I'm not late at all! *handwaves*

I had a pretty good Eid celebration. Started the day by having a mini photoshoot at home after hubby got home from the mosque. Then we went over to my grandmother's house, where we proceeded to eat A LOT. Later in the evening we went over to hubby's family's house and we stayed there for a couple of days.

And... nothing much else happened. ( Here, have some pics! )


-Oh, Aafiyah has already mastered the art of rolling over from back to front. She had been practicing for so long, that when she finally managed it for the first time, it took me a few seconds to realize that she did it! And now, she can hardly stay still, and I have to always keep a close eye on her, especially when she's asleep, because she'll roll right over without waking up.

-Speaking of, let's talk about TV!

Did you guys know there's a team on The Amazing Race called Sam and Dean Dan? And they're brothers! And they bonded when they both came out to each other! And they're pretty good so far! I'm so rooting for them!

And Supernatural is showing on AXN again, so yay! Even if they totally ignored Season 3 and decided to just show Season 4, well at least Malaysian viewers will be spared the agony of watching Bela, I guess (although I'm one of the very very few people who actually LIKED Bela).

As for the current season? Oh, so much blasphemy on Show! But I handwave a lot on this show ever since they introduced angels in season 4, so whatever, yeah? But I keep feeling like something is 'off' this season, and I can't put my finger on it. Nevertheless, I am loving the new season, and I can't wait to see where they're gonna go with all this.

And House! This is my first time downloading this series. Usually I just watch it when it airs here, but the season finale just blew me away that I HAD to know what happens now! And it hasn't disappointed so far!

Also, I downloaded the first three episodes of Glee, just because everyone is raving about it. But halfway through the first episode, hubby and I got a bit bored and I actually um, fell asleep. Tell me, does it pick up after that? Should I stick with it? Coz I enjoy High School Musical, and this looks to be something like that, yes? Also, I need new shows once Supernatural ends.

I have loads more to talk about and lots more pics to share, but for now, I'll stop here before anyone gets sick of me.

Happy Ramadhan to all my Muslim flisties! *hugs*

Last year I managed to fast a full month, because I was pregnant (although I did not know it at the time). Haha, looking back, I think it's hilarious that I thought my lethargy was due to lack of caffiene.

Speaking of, ever since I knew I was pregnant, I managed to cut down on my caffiene intake pretty significantly! Hence me not being too lethargic this time around. Although, since I'm breastfeeding, I tend to get a bit dehydrated at the end of the day. But it's all good so far. Hopefully I can keep this up.

In other news, I'm all caught up on Leverage now! \o/

Hubby and I had a couple of mini-marathons this past week, and it was FUN! We might have to marathon a few of the Season 1 eps too, since hubby missed quite a few of those. I made him watch the pilot solely for the flashbacks (especially Parker's).

I wanted to squee a bit more about my new TV obsession, but work beckons (grrr) so I'll just leave with this vid, if only for my amusement.


Wheeee!!

A while back, I was getting a tad annoyed by how difficult it was to put Aafiyah down for her nap. If it was too bright, she'd be blinking her eyes open barely two seconds after I've put her down. She'd jolt awake at the sound of a bus honking its horn (let me point out that my apartment is on the 13th floor!). And sometimes, when she wakes up, she would let me know with a loud wail.

But later, as I sat there watching her sleep, I realized that all those things are actually a big blessing. If she found it hard to fall asleep because it's too bright, I know that she's not blind (I don't actually know if blind people can distinguish between light and dark). If the sounds of traffic wakes her up, then she can hear just fine. And that loud wail of hers just shows me that she is definitely not a mute.

When I was pregnant, one of the things I feared the most was that my baby would not have all her senses. I mean, we could scan and count the number of appendages, and hear the heartbeat, and whatnot, but there was no way to tell if the baby was actually blind or deaf or mute (is there?). And I prayed every single day that she would be able to appreciate life the way it's meant to. And it looks like she can. And she does.

1. New promo all over my flist! YAY! I had to watch it with the sound off since I'm in the office, but YAY anyway! That means that we're getting closer to the new season! *bounce*

2. I've been meaning to participate in the Cutest Baby Contest since last month, but I keep missing the deadline! *sadface* Not only because I do think that I have the cutest baby in the world, but because of the PRIZES. A handbag of my choice from alicewonders? A free photobook? But mostly, the HANDBAG. I love bags. I have a million of em. And I could always use a million more. Hee!

Fortunately, it's a monthly contest, so maybe I'll give it a shot next month. GAH.

3. I need some Leverage and House icons. And some Leverage and House friends. So far, only layne67  is a-squee with me (because we watch the eps at the same time. *grin*). Monday nights on AXN FTW! Except, boths shows just ended this week. And next week they'll start showing some Criss Angel show or something. Boo.

4. This will be the last weekend before Ramadhan starts. I think I might wanna go on a date with the hubby. :)

Hubby had been teasing me with this one spoiler that he found out about Show. I refused to cave (I'm trying to stay spoiler-free this season, dammit!), despite him dropping hints about what the spoiler might be.

And then, I open up the Media thread on TWOP and what do I see? THAT spoiler staring at me right in the face.

Oh come on, you guys know exactly what I'm talking about. That guest star. Yeah, that one.

I'm pretty indifferent about the spoiler itself (although the more I think about it, I find it a bit amusing actually), but I wish I didn't find out about it. Then again, I suppose there was no way of avoiding it huh.

Tell me what you think, flist. Did Kripke just shoot himself in the head with this stunt casting, or was it a genius move?

Oh, lemme just point out that I know absolutely nothing beyond the casting itself. I have no idea of the character they'll play or what the episode is about. So don't spoil me more! (Oh, layne67 , being the spoilerphobe that you are, you might want to avert your eyes, yeah? lol)

And I find it so hard to believe that my little chubby princess is three months old now. Yesterday was her three month birthday.

I have a bajillion backdated entries to post, but I'm still finding the time to update! For now, I'm gonna steal this collage from my hubby's blog, and post it here, coz every time I look at these pics, I start grinning and I can't stop.

Wow, it's been a month since my last proper update! I've been pretty busy these last few weeks. I'm back at work now, and gawd, the mountain of files waiting for me is unbelievable! And I haven't even gone through all my emails yet!

And I've missed you guys! I see Big Bang fics all over my flist, and I'm DYING to read them all, but I haven't had the time! *weeps*

There's a big trial coming up, so hopefully after that one's over with, work will slow down some. I'll try to post a proper update soon-ish. In the meantime, have a lolcat!
